Power: The blue color of his eye holds his magical power. He's currently only in possession of half of his magical power. Also, he has vampire blood in him, which was given to him in order to save his life. He can only drink Kurogane's blood. Despite this, he does not advertise that he is a vampire to anyone. He also does not use any of his powers (magic or vampire) unless there is absolutely no other option. In addition, he cannot use any kind of healing magic.
Curses: 1) When you meet a person of high magical power than yourself, you will be forced to kill them immediately. [One time use] 2) If the King of Celes is not killed by your hand, your magic will cause the world of Celes to collapse and implode. [One time use, obviously. And slightly paraphrased.]

History/Personality

Fai hasn't had the most fortunate of lives. His name, his real name, is Yuui, and when he was young, he had a twin brother named Fai. Twins are a bad omen in the country he was born in, Valeria, so in order to guarantee the safety of the kingdom, they were imprisoned in a place for sinners of Valeria. Fai was trapped within the Tower, and Yuui in the pit at the bottom. They were supposed to remain that way for all eternity, long after all of the Valerians had died. A long time passed. A very long time passed. Their hair grew long and they grew weak from hunger, until a helping hand extended from across dimensions. It was the hand of Fei Wong Reed, who offered them each freedom, but only freedom for one of them. Yuui remembers that they both answered "Yuui" and Fai fell from the tower to splat on the ground. Fei Wong Reed said that the price would be two curses, and that he would become his pawn.

Flash forward several years. Yuui had been given his brother's name by Ashura-Ou, the man who saved him from the prison, and he had to seal Ashura-Ou away to avoid having to kill him. Very long story. But this is when he runs from Celes to the dimensional witch's world, where he meets Syaoran, Sakura, and Kurogane for the first time. Knowing his curses, he befriends them, trying not to get too close.

But he did get close, especially to Kurogane, who he began to call cute nicknames like "Kuro-rin" and "Kuro-sama". He allowed himself to be close, even though he was a danger to the group. He was made painfully aware of this fact when he eye was torn from his head by Syaoran's clone (which is another very long story). In order to save his life, Kurogane made a deal with Yuuko which resulted in Fai becoming a vampire and having to rely on Kurogane for food.

VERY soon after this, too soon to have ever fed from Kurogane, Fai was sucked into the Mansion, where he didn't eat for three months. When Kurogane showed up, he was so hungry that his instincts completely took over. This shook Fai so badly that he stopped as soon as he could force himself to (rather than eating everything he needed) and since then has been eating as little as possible, as infrequently as possible. Early on he was making himself ill from it, but since has forced himself to eat more, but still not enough. However, there was good to having arrived in the mansion. The mansion seemed to negate his curses, and this is reason enough for Fai to be content in remaining there. Remaining in the mansion has brought back some of his cheery demeanor, but it certainly can't last forever.

Relationships

Kurogane: When he first arrived in the mansion, Fai pushed him away almost completely. He was unnecessarily cruel to him and spent a great deal of time trying to make Kurogane hate him, so that he wouldn't care so much about him. But when Fai came to realise his curses don't apply in the Mansion, he eased. Slowly, he's begun to reach out to Kurogane again, but he's left him with the cryptic message that they can only be close in the world of the mansion. This clashes very much with Kurogane's desire to leave the world of the mansion as soon as possible. Things get very bitter around the topic of leaving this world, but with that aside, they have become very close.

Sheena: During an event, Fai was trapped in a Nightmare room and was forced to confess his sins to Sheena. She luckily forgave him and is now currently the only person in the mansion who knows any of his past. This being said, Fai has a soft spot of her, and he thinks very highly of her. She's a sweet girl, and very kind to forgive someone with sins like his. ♥ [Dropped character]

Sakura: Fai was overjoyed to have a Sakura arrive in the Mansion, after the last three or four Sakuras to arrive had not been the one he knew. Unlike the previous TRC!Sakura that had arrived in the Mansion however, this Sakura possessed all of her memories. She was taken from before their journey, which means she does not remember ever having met Fai before. This didn't stop him from swinging immediately back into their play-family though. When the last TRC!Sakura had arrived, Fai had wanted to leave to set her back on her journey, but this time he has no such motivation. If they can all stay together in the mansion, things will be wonderful, right? [Dropped Character]

Fai: A short while ago, Fai's brother made it to the Mansion. It was immediately after the promises they had made with Fei Wong Reed. Fai could not have been happier, ever. If they remain in the mansion together, it gives them a second chance at living happily together, even if they're no longer the same age. However, Fai still feels guilty for what he believes he's done. He revealed it to Fai, after some rather painful events in the mansion, and can't seem to accept his forgiveness or that his take on the past, even though in truth Fai's memories have been altered, and his brother is correct. Fai is careful not to address his brother by name in public settings, because he took his brother's name after his death, and it's something he would rather not deal with. This may be partially because he's still not sure he can live as "Yuui". He tenses when it is suggested that his brother will leave someday. He never wants to lose him again. [Dropped Character]

Syaoran: Once again, Syaoran has made his way to the mansion, but this time it is not the real Syaoran, but the clone they traveled with for so long, the clone that finally lost his heart and took Fai's eye for himself. Naturally Fai is a bit wary, but he's been doing his best to ignore it and act as though nothing is wrong. It leaves fai in an awkward place though, as he's cahnged since this Syaoran last saw him, physically and emotionally, and Syaoran is unknowingly a major part of this change. One of Fai's fears is that he will snap again in the mansion, and go after his brother's eyes. [Dropped Character]

Ash: Ash is a recent arrival to the mansion - a phantom. While Fai does not possess the ability to see ghosts and spirits, he has bonded with Ash through the journals. Neither of them are quite human, so they have this in common. With Sheena gone, Ash is one of few people who knows Fai is a vampire.
